Transnational awareness campaign on September 4th 2016: "Move for Dementia 2016"

The Generationen Treff Enger and the Stephanus House, two promoters of the Dementia-friendly commune and Local alliances for people with dementia in the district of Herford are – together with Wolfgang G., 61 years old, diagnosed with Pick's disease – actively engaged in an awareness campaign which takes place on September 4th 2016 and deals with the statement "Move for Dementia-Living well with Dementia in the Community".

We call upon all supporters of our common cause to take part in this movement by participating with a local activity – in whatever way they prefer or by motivating others to participate.
We provide you with a printable version of a poster specifically designed for this awareness campaign. With a jointly realised action of all participants, we will acquire a large media impact for dementia in the run-up to the international alzheimer-day.

Our joint actions are supported nationwide by the German sports club DSC Arminia Bielefeld.
Supra-regional partners:  Aktion Demenz e.V.- dementia-friendly communities, German Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth - Local alliances for people with dementia.
And our campaign is supported by the EFID European Foundations’ Initiative on Dementia, Brussels/Belgium and by many initiatives in Germany and Europe.
